Cookies policy / Bluekip
You choose optional storage.
Football match notes remain readable when you decline advertising and analytics storage. Bluekip uses browser storage to remember your choice and keep a support conversation connected. Advertising platforms send paid traffic here today. Those uses are different, and the controls reflect that.
Bluekip, trading at bluekip.com, is responsible for this notice. It covers cookies and similar browser storage on this football publication, including localStorage. A cookie is a small browser record; localStorage is another way to save a value on a device. A parameter on an incoming link is neither of those things by itself.
Storage is separated by purpose.
Strictly necessary storage supports a feature you request or remembers a choice you make. The consent record applies your decision on later visits. A chat token lets the support widget connect a returning browser to its conversation. Refusing optional storage does not stop these requested functions, although blocking all browser storage can prevent a choice or conversation from being remembered.
Analytics storage supports measurement of visits and how the publication is used. This is optional. The browser permission for it is analytics_storage, and it remains denied until you allow storage. A request to read football match notes is not permission to save an analytics identifier.
Advertising storage supports attribution and advertising measurement. Advertising data use and personalization have their own consent signals as well. These permissions start denied; following a paid link does not switch them on. An advertising identifier is not needed to decide which football fixture notes you want to read.
The home-page reading checker evaluates your selections in the browser. Its focus, depth and timing inputs are not an inquiry submission and do not create a stored reader profile. A question sent through a form or chat does create a server-side record, which is covered by the Privacy policy.
The record and its lifetime.
The table distinguishes a browser key from an incoming click parameter. It does not label a URL parameter as a cookie or invent a platform cookie name. Platform-managed storage is governed by the permission states below and by the platform’s own notice. The named local consent key is the only place this site persists your consent choice.
| Name or record | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
site_consent_v2 | Bluekip | Local browser record of the choice you make with Allow or Decline. Saved after you act, not inferred from browsing. | 12 months for the consent-choice record. Clearing site storage removes the browser copy sooner. |
| Chat conversation token | Bluekip support chat | LocalStorage token connecting this browser to a requested support conversation. It is not a consent preference. | LocalStorage remains until cleared; chat transcripts on the server are retained for 6 months. A token and its transcript are different records. |
gclid | Google Ads | Click identifier attached to a paid landing link. Advertising storage and data use are subject to consent. | The URL parameter has no cookie expiry of its own. A referring URL recorded in access logs falls under the 60-day log period. |
msclkid | Microsoft Advertising | Click identifier used to associate a visit with a Microsoft advertising click. | Present in the landing URL rather than a timed cookie by itself. Platform retention is described in Microsoft’s privacy statement. |
fbclid | Meta Ads | Click identifier accompanying traffic from a Meta advertising campaign. | No independent browser expiry as a URL parameter. Browser history can retain the link until you remove that history. |
The dark table can be scrolled within its frame on a small screen. A token retained locally is not proof that the server still holds the conversation. Likewise, deleting a cookie does not recall a notification already sent to an inbox.
Inquiries and their email copies are retained for 36 months; chat transcripts for 6 months; server and access logs for 60 days. Those are server-side retention periods, not additional browser-cookie lifetimes. If you want a server record removed, use the Data request route instead of relying on clearing browser history.
Paid links carry click identifiers.
Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta Ads send traffic to Bluekip. Google Ads attaches gclid to a click, Microsoft Advertising attaches msclkid, and Meta Ads attaches fbclid. You can see these names in a landing URL. They identify an advertising click rather than a football club or a match you asked the desk to cover.
Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC provides Google Ads and receives consent signals. Microsoft Ireland Operations Ltd provides Microsoft Advertising. Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd provides Meta Ads for its campaigns. Each platform handles information under its own policies as well as the permissions communicated from this site.
A visit starts with a request for a URL. That request can contain the click identifier before the consent banner is used. Declining storage restricts optional storage and associated use; it cannot make an incoming request never have happened. If a URL is captured with an inquiry’s referring information, it forms part of that inquiry record under the 36-month retention rule in the Privacy policy.
Do not send the whole contents of a personal advertising link to another reader merely to share an article. The ordinary page address is enough to link to Bluekip’s football news and fixtures. Your browser’s address and history controls are separate from the consent controls on the page.
Four signals start denied.
Consent Mode v2 holds ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage denied until the visitor allows storage. It sets all four back to denied the moment the visitor declines or withdraws. Consent mode communicates these states; it does not turn a visit into consent.
ad_storagegoverns permission for advertising-related browser storage.ad_user_datagoverns permission to send user data for advertising purposes.ad_personalizationgoverns permission for personalized advertising use.analytics_storagegoverns permission for analytics-related browser storage.
Denied-state consent signals and limited measurement requests can still be communicated. “Denied” means that the optional storage and associated permissions have not been granted; it is not a claim that every tag, signal or network connection disappears. A visitor’s choice must be respected throughout that measurement path.
Global Privacy Control, delivered through the Sec-GPC header, is honored as an opt-out without asking again. Where that signal applies, optional advertising permissions remain denied. Sending a football inquiry does not cancel a browser opt-out, and checking the permission-to-reply box does not authorize advertising personalization.
Change the choice from any footer.
Select Allow in the cookie banner to permit advertising and analytics storage. Select Decline to refuse it. The page remains available while you decide. The choice is saved only after you act, under site_consent_v2, and its record lasts 12 months.
To change or withdraw that permission later, select Cookie choices in the footer of any page, then select Decline. You can also reopen the controls with the button below. Withdrawal returns all four Consent Mode v2 signals to denied immediately. It does not undo lawful processing completed before the withdrawal.
The choice is browser-specific. Clearing site storage can remove the saved decision and make the controls appear on a later visit. A second device does not inherit the first device’s browser record. Global Privacy Control remains an independent browser opt-out and is honored without asking again.
If scripts are unavailable or your browser blocks storage, the interactive control may not remember a choice. Optional permissions remain denied until storage is allowed. Use the contact details below if you need help with the controls, or consult the Accessibility page to report a barrier.
Declining leaves the reading lanes open.
Match Notes, Club Desk and Fixtures remain available after Decline. The inquiry route remains available too; its permission to use your details to reply is a separate decision. The reading checker does not need advertising consent to suggest a lane.
Optional advertising and analytics storage is not permitted while the choice is declined. The four consent signals are denied, so advertising data use and personalization are not authorized by this site’s consent choice. Necessary functions still operate, including remembering the refusal and connecting a support conversation you ask to use.
Blocking all cookies and localStorage in browser settings is broader than selecting Decline. It can remove the chat token and prevent the site from remembering a refusal. You can still use Contact or email the desk. No reader is required to accept advertising storage to ask a privacy question.
Existing browser records and information already received by a platform are not automatically erased by a changed signal. Use browser settings to clear site data, platform controls for platform-held data, and the Bluekip data-request route for an inquiry or transcript. Those actions address different records.
Read the platform’s own handling rules.
Bluekip can explain what a click brings to this destination and what consent states it communicates. Each advertising provider is responsible for explaining its wider processing and the controls attached to its services. These links lead to the providers’ privacy documents:
- Google privacy policy at policies.google.com, covering Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC services.
- Microsoft privacy statement at privacy.microsoft.com, covering Microsoft’s handling of personal information.
- Meta privacy policy, covering Meta’s services and information use.
The hosting provider serves bluekip.com and stores its inquiry database. The mail provider carries inquiry notifications to the operator’s inbox. Those operational routes are not extra advertising consent records. Their role, international processing and rights requests are explained in the Privacy policy.
Leaving bluekip.com places you on another provider’s site with its own controls. A choice made in Bluekip’s footer does not change your account settings on Google, Microsoft or Meta. If a question concerns a specific platform record, the provider’s privacy route may be needed alongside a request to Bluekip.
Ask about the record you found.
Write to [email protected] with the cookie or storage name and the page where you encountered it. A browser name and whether you had selected Allow or Decline help explain what happened. Do not include a complete chat token or another secret value; the record’s name is usually enough to begin.
You can also call +1 (918) 555-0678 or write to Bluekip, trading at bluekip.com, at 131 Station Road, Office 12, Austin, Texas 85402, Austin, Texas, United States. A data request is answered within 7 days. The Data request page is the direct route for access, correction or deletion.
Changes to this notice are published here with revised effective and last-updated information in the document masthead. A new use that needs consent requires the appropriate choice; an old Allow decision does not remove that requirement. For submission rules rather than browser storage, read the Terms of Use.
